Negative surprises result not from shortcomings on the part of networking contacts, but rather from misplaced expectations of the one seeking to network. Tim Slager is a talent advisor and Founder of Your One Third, a career coaching service that helps clients improve the one third of their lives spent at work. He advises others as they transition within and between organizations – also advising organizations how to best facilitate these transitions.

Tim developed his knowledge on this topic through leadership positions in recruitment (Adecco), professional development (Weatherhead School of Management), and career transition (Lee Hecht Harrison). He holds a BA from Kenyon College, a Master of Divinity from McCormick Theological Seminary, and the Global Career Transition Expert Quality Delivery Certification from LHH. Tim’s volunteer work includes service as a Hudson Job Search Advisor and as Assistant Pastor at Hudson Presbyterian Church.

Our meetings have resumed to in-person at Christ Church Episcopal in Hudson with a Zoom option. Please use the appropriate registration link below. The in-person sign-in and networking begins at 7:15 p.m. You are highly encouraged to come in-person for one-on-one networking with others. Increasing in-person networking can be an excellent way to enhance your job search.
