Hudson Job Search is proud to spotlight James Boggs, a dedicated member of our Board of Trustees. With a career spanning law, litigation, and management, James brings an incredible depth of experience and a passion for helping others to the organization.
Professional Background
James began his legal career in his hometown of Huntington, West Virginia, where he established a private practice and served as an Assistant City Attorney. His professional journey also included roles as an attorney for students at Marshall University and later as Attorney-Litigation for a multi-state energy company. James seamlessly transitioned into management, taking on a dual role that combined legal expertise with oversight of major claims, including personal injury, wrongful death, and property damage. His ability to adapt and excel led him to positions with a Pittsburgh-based financial services firm, a West Virginia law firm, and finally a fulfilling role as Senior Relationship Manager at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company.
Inspiration to Join Hudson Job Search
James first learned about Hudson Job Search through a Northeast Ohio networking group, where he was struck by the genuine desire of participants to help one another. Introduced to HJS by Terese McGroarty, James attended his first meeting and was immediately captivated by the organization’s supportive community. Since then, he has enthusiastically supported HJS, serving on the Board of Trustees for four years and championing its mission to uplift job seekers.
Why Volunteering Matters
For James, volunteering with Hudson Job Search is about giving back. He encourages anyone with the desire to help others and share their knowledge to consider becoming involved.
"HJS is a fantastic place to provide service to others while uplifting them toward fine-tuning their ideal career paths and ultimately landing their next role," he says.
