Don’t gamble away that new job opportunity with a bad interview. You need to attend Monday, October 18th’s Hudson Job Search (HJS) meeting to learn how to be successful. Presenting that evening is Michael Polovick, the newly named president of HJS and a veteran HR Executive. Polovick has more than 30 years of experience interviewing all levels of employees in the organizations he’s served.
As a special bonus, Polovick will devote time on how to successfully interview in the COVID era when virtual interviews are the new norm for employers. Virtual interviews are “not your father’s interview” so come prepared to learn how to excel in the online interview as well as the more traditional interview.
To ensure this program is available to all interested parties, it will be conducted both live and virtually. The live program will be at Christ Church Episcopal located at 21 Aurora Street in Hudson, Ohio. We will be following CDC and local guidelines for the live meeting and all who are in good health are welcome to attend in person. For those who feel more comfortable participating at home for any reason, they can attend the meeting virtually.
This will be HJS’s first hybrid meeting with both live and virtual attendees. “We have had a number of job seekers who expressed the desire to network live instead of via Zoom. And since the church has completely remodeled the meeting room with improved space, better lighting, the latest technology, and enhanced ventilation, we are willing to accommodate the job seekers’ needs and use this opportunity to showcase the church’s beautiful new facility consistent with the guidelines previously mentioned. To recognize this first hybrid meeting, all who attend, whether virtually or live, will be eligible for a drawing of a free ring light which helps with video interviews.” said Polovick.
The meeting begins with networking opportunities at 7:00 – 7:30 p.m. and the speaker presentation is from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. Park behind Christ Episcopal Church, 21 Aurora St. and enter through the double doors and come to the Parish Hall. The dress is business casual.
