Having an effective elevator speech is the ability to tell your future boss or networking contact who you are and the value you can provide in a short, understandable manner, a positive sign of being well-prepared and a potential candidate for a job. Your goal is to stand out from the crowd, and as with any pitch, preparation is key.
The Ideal Next Job and Employer exercise will help participants begin the process of identifying their workplace skills and passions and the objective and subjective description of the ideal next employer.
Stella is a veteran of over 25 years in the communications and training fields, working with clients as a trainer, consultant or executive coach. A popular professional speaker, he has delivered hundreds of workshops on networking and communication skills for client and association events around the country.
Hudson Job Search meets on the first and third Monday evenings of each month at Christ Church Episcopal, 21 Aurora St. (park behind the church) and come to the Parish Hall with sign-in and networking from 7:00 – 7:30 p.m. This is a great time to practice with other job seekers. Dress is business casual. The meeting from 7:30 – 9:00 p.m. is free and open to the public.
