In honor of Independence Day on Tuesday, we booked our most “explosive” content for the Monday Night Meeting.
The power of a positive attitude is no new phenomenon, but more employers than ever are waking up to the “attitude over aptitude” hiring strategy. Instead of letting a lengthy job search get you down, showing resilience in the face of the challenge can showcase your ability to maintain a positive attitude and bounce back from setbacks. However, as weeks turn into months and months turn into seasons having an optimistic, positive attitude during an interview can feel near impossible.
In his presentation “Power of Attitude in Your Job Search,” Marvin Montgomery will explain seven powerful techniques you can use to maintain a positive mindset during your search and project that positive attitude during an interview to influence the hiring decision in your favor.
Marvin began his career with one of the nation’s largest jewelry chains and worked his way up to the director of sales position. It was here that Marvin began refining his approach to training. In total he trained more than 1,200 associates in 95 stores during his time with the organization.
Since that time, Marvin’s captivating presentations have assisted hundreds of organizations to meet or exceed their sales goals using his training programs. Many of Marvin’s clients have said that getting “Marvinized” has truly made a difference in their company and Marvin has become a mandatory part of company training.
Marvin is the author of Practice Makes Perfect: The Professional’s Guide to Sales Success as well as Training Wheels. He is also a regular contributor to magazines such as Smart Business Cleveland and Smart Business Akron/Canton, COSE Update, and the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Hudson Job Search is proud to have Marvin serving as an Advisor to job seekers as well as serving as a trustee on our Board of Trustees.
