Hudson Job Search will meet on Monday, May 2 with a unique topic “Non-compete and Non-solicitation Clauses in Employment Offers” with lawyer David Schweighoefer, Esq.
It is not unusual for employment offers to contain terms and clauses that impose certain limitations on the potential employee regarding subsequent employment opportunities.
Often these restrictions also reach the potential employee’s ability to recruit existing employees from this new employer. Are these terms and conditions legal, can they be enforced, and can they be negotiated with the prospective employer?
Schweighoefer states “Such terms and conditions are not only prevalent in health care employment offers, they have become very common in many industries.”
David Schweighoefer, Esq. is an Attorney with Ulmer and Berne, Cleveland, specializing in health care and is an Advisor with Hudson Job Search.
