Public service or Serving the public? Which role would you prefer? Resoundingly…BOTH! Join our speaker Sharon Reaves at the Hudson Job Search meeting on Monday, September 19 to learn what opportunities are available.
Reaves says “A career in Public Service, to me rings like a traditionalist’s view of an honorable vocation that requires sacrifice and dedication. Parents of the Greatest Generation would be proud if their offspring chose to work for the post office or as a locally elected councilman or school board member.”
Regardless of how these aspects are perceived, choosing to work in the public sector offers lucrative, dynamic, wide-ranging and stable employment. Come and learn from a public sector expert how this career option could be the right fit for you!
Sharon is Director/CHRO for Summit County. Sharon previously held HR positions for Allstate Insurance, METRO RTA, AKIMA at John Glenn NASA Research Center and the Cleveland Museum of Art. She earned Master’s degrees in advanced leadership studies (IWU) and public administration (University of Akron), and a BS in political science from the University of Dayton. Sharon is active on many boards, advisory councils and committees and is a proud member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
Sharon is married to Don Reaves and they have three children, three adorable grandchildren and fur-puppy, Smitty.
