How to Avoid Ageism in the Job Search

This week, Hudson Job Search will focus on the issues around ageism. Whenever job seekers get together and discuss their search, this subject comes up in one form or another.  In order to directly address and focus on this issue, we have Katherine Burik as this week’s speaker.

Katherine Burik is a Career and Job Search Coach and President of The Interview Doctor, Inc. She is a sought-after public speaker and the best-selling author of three books related to job search. She writes a regular blog about job search, interviews, resumes and using LinkedIn in your job search.

This week she will call upon her considerable experience in coaching career transitions and share how to minimize/avoid ageism in the job search.  She will offer specific strategies to address:

• The perceptions of older workers both by employers and the job seeker.
• How to avoid the stigmas attached to older workers.
